How to Restart or Reset the Garmin Forerunner 45 / 45s. In this guide, I demonstrate not only how to factory reset the Garmin Forerunner 45, but also how to switch it off and on. This is useful if the watch freezes or does not reply. A factory reset should be performed only when absolutely required since it resets all of your information and restores the watch to its original state.
When you do a factory reset on your Garmin Forerunner 45, all user data and settings are erased. Perform the instructions outlined in the video above at your own risk.
How to RESET THE GARMIN FORErunner 45 FROM THE FACTORY:
- To access the Menu, press and hold the Up button.
- When the menu appears, scroll up and choose System.
- Scroll down and select Reset under the System settings.
- Select Delete All to factory reset your Garmin Forerunner 45.
- Your Garmin Forerunner 45 has now been hard reset and must be configured.
How to Reset Your Garmin Forerunner 45 (Not Factory Reset):
- To access the Menu, press and hold the Up button.
- When the menu appears, scroll up and choose System.
- Scroll down and select Reset under the System settings.
- Select Reset settings from the Reset menu. This will clear your settings while retaining your user data. This is useful if you mistakenly changed your settings and need to restore them, but don’t want to lose all of your data, applications, personal information, and so on.
